November/December We have had a fantastic couple of months here at Greenbank the children have been so busy and have enjoyed all of the fun activities that the staff members have been planning for them. We are really looking forward to the festive season and hope that you will join us by making or decorating a bauble for your rooms christmas tree at home. We are really starting to promote parents as partners within the nursery at the moment. Each room will be sending either a nursery rhyme, messy play, story or teddy bag home for you to complete with your child. You can send any photos through to our new email address [email protected] We have been very busy at nursery recently taking part in lots of different events . We have took part in another balloon release stay and play, the parents came in to decorate the balloons with the children before releasing them in the garden. We have also took part in lots of different activities for Halloween including decorating apples, exploring spooky playdough and creating our own pumpkin soup. We have lots of events coming up to look forward to including a sponsored reading and listening event to raise money to purchase books for the children (starting 8th November). Also we will be taking part in wearing our spotty pyjamas for children in need. Dont forget to look out for our different events taking place within nursery these are displayed on the boards outside of each room and also now on our mannequin Ruby who we will be dressing up to go with the events taking place within nursery! We have recently raised more money for the neo natal ward in The Womens hospital we held a raffle and raised a total of 215.40 We also held a Macmillan coffee morning and cake sale at the end of September and raised 79.48. We look forward to raising more money for the neo natal ward at our Christmas fair on Friday the 16th December. Please come along from 6.30-8.00pm if you would like a stall please speak to Amber or Sarah within the office.
