1:00 PM and by appointment Attendance Policy Attendance is absolutely essential for succeeding in this class, as well as a requirement of Fordham University. Missing more than three class periods without a written excuse or prior consultation with the professor will negatively affect your grade; the discussion grade will drop one whole grade after three unexcused absences. That being said, absences for religious reasons, or those that are pre-approved by the instructor or due to an emergency will not count against you. Please consult the Student Handbook for more information about excused absences.

Electronics Policy Phones must be turned off or on silent and put away. Laptops and Tablets ARE allowed, in order to access the course readings, available via blackboard. Because of this, there is NO excuse for arriving to class unprepared to discuss the materials assigned for that day. If a students activities on his or her electronic device prove a distraction for other members of the class and/or he or she is caught abusing this electronics policy, modifications to this

policy will be made at the professors discretion. Grading and Due Dates Assignment Percent age Due Date Participation Unit Quizzes (4) 20% 30%
