ONRR identifies each well with a unique, permanent API well number and a completion code/producing interval. The API well number is assigned to each wellbore by BSEE or BLM. 12 Industry Compliance Accurate Revenues & Data Professionalism & Integrity

Appendix F API Well Numbers The standard API well number is structured as follows: 13 Industry Compliance Accurate Revenues & Data Professionalism & Integrity

Appendix G Producing Interval Codes The producing interval code is a three-character standard format code assigned by BLM or BSEE. The numeric portion is uniquely and permanently related to a specific completion zone or producing configuration within a wellbore. The letter of the code is assigned based upon the number of tubing strings in the wellbore that are capable of production. 14 Industry Compliance

Professionalism & Integrity eCommerce Warning Edits Purpose: To provide to assist the reporter in resolving OGOR processing issues and avoid Fatal Error Edits being received at ONRR. 46 Industry Compliance Accurate Revenues & Data

Professionalism & Integrity Background Warnings are placed in eCommerce to alert the reporter to information on the OGOR that is not compatible with information found within the ONRRs system. eCommerce allows warnings to go forward on the OGOR submission even though several of these warnings will create fatal errors on the OGOR once it processes through the overnight batch run. In the past when operators called in with these warnings they were told to submit the report, resulting

in unnecessary fatal rejects on ONRRs side. Industry Compliance Accurate Revenues & Data Professionalism & Integrity How to Resolve eCommerce Errors on OGOR production reports *See complete listing here: https://onrr.gov/ReportPay/references.htm Industry Compliance

Professionalism & Integrity Warnings Edits The warning we will cover today are: 11286: Well status different from that in Reference Data 11264: Tubing string does not match the tubing string in data base. 11280: Volumes required for gas or water 11761: Beginning Inventory must match ending inventory from prior month

Industry Compliance Accurate Revenues & Data Professionalism & Integrity WARNING EDIT 11286 Well status different than that in Reference Data Meaning: The well status code found on OGOR A does not match the status in ONRRs well panels. This normally is a shut-in or Temporary Abandon well is being reported and ONRR has a producing well.

Action to take: Submit the OGOR, as the system will let the report process and not create a Fatal Error. Contact BLM and/or your land department to ensure updated Sundries have been submitted for the well status. Industry Compliance Accurate Revenues & Data Professionalism & Integrity Warning Edit 11264

Tubing string does not match the tubing string on the database Will create fatal error as the API is not recognized in the ONRR system. Example would be API 1234567810 S01 is reported with an S02. How to fix: Go back to the lease and line indicated in the warning and look at the OGOR A. Verify the correct production interval is being used. If correct, then contact your ONRR analyst to determine the cause for the warning.

Industry Compliance Accurate Revenues & Data Professionalism & Integrity Warning Edit 11280 Volumes required for Gas and Water The OGOR A status is for a Producing Gas well or water source well. Will receive this when well status shown is for producing well with no production being reported.

Verify if the well produced that month or not. If not, change the status to shut-in. If there is production present, then add production volumes to the report. BE SURE TO COMPARE THE OGOR A TO OGOR B AFTER YOUR CORRECTIONS ARE MADE. Industry Compliance Accurate Revenues & Data Professionalism & Integrity Warning Edit 11761

Beginning Inventory must match Ending Inventory from prior month Will create a fatal error edit when report is received at ONRR. What actions to take when receiving this warning. Identify the lease being impacted. Compare the Ending Inventory from the prior month report. If not matching, then determine which Inventory is correct. If the Prior month is wrong, then file replacement report to correct. Industry Compliance

Accurate Revenues & Data Professionalism & Integrity Warning Edit 11761 Continued If Inventories match, then compare the Ending Inventory of the Production Month being reported to the Beginning Inventory of the subsequent month. If the inventories match, then submit the report. Notes: The system now looks forward and backwards when comparing Inventories. If the prior month is incorrect, then look at the next few subsequent months as the error from the incorrect ending inventory will have carried forward into those months as well. This only applies when reporting OGORs that are missing or Need to be refiled.

If the report with the warning is the most current report due, then only check the prior month inventory. When in doubt, call your Analyst!!! 55 Industry Compliance Accurate Revenues & Data Professionalism & Integrity
